Engineering and Informatics – Master

The Engineering and Informatics Program, at the master’s level, is designed based on the labor market demands, as well as through a close cooperation with the business community.

Therefore, we can say that the program fulfills many shortcomings of the labor market in Kosovo, qualifying students with knowledge and skills in product design, who will be able to use modern technology, but who will also be aware of industrial processes.

Goal
The aim of the program is to develop specialized professionals in the field of engineering, with a focus on product design and development, using the latest technology and applications as well as Information Technology, which easily adapt to the needs of the labor market.

Overall objectives
For a successful future for students in a competitive and ever-changing environment, the University offers theoretical and practical teaching that helps them:

  • To work at solving theoretical and practical problems in individual manner or in group (by finding and applying adequate methods of scientific research);
  • To understand the complexity of the manufacturing operations, process and its impact on product design or process, and vice versa;
  • To apply modern Quality Management Methods to improve efficiency
  • To use modern computer programs (CAD, SolidWORKS, CREO, FUSION, etc.) on designing and analyzing / simulation of the product operation or designed process
  • To plan, initiate and execute various engineering projects;
  • To manage products and groups (families) of products, from the idea, design and to Its development, throughout its life cycle; and
  • To manage protection and safety at work as well as environmental protection.

Job opportunities in the future
After completion the studies, a graduate will be able to work as:

  • Design engineer,
  • Product developer / manager,
  • Production supervisor,
  • Process developer and designer,
  • General manager of a manufacturing company
  • Self-employed and entrepreneurial.
  • Project manager.

The large job perspectives in the region of Ferizaj, as well as the geographical position of the University have made it an ideal choice for me. International mobility opportunities to study abroad, numerous visits to various companies, then practical work, as well as laboratory exercises on the University, offer tremendous opportunities to our progress. Thanks to the variety of subjects in this faculty, we are already skilled in the field of engineering as well as in other fields such as: informatics, physics and mathematics.”
