Rector Bajraktari visited “James Madison” University

Rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari, is having an official visit to the United States, where today visited the University, “James Madison” in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Rector Bajraktari is hosted by President of “James Madison” University Jonathan R. Alger with whom he talked about possibilities of cooperation between two universities, especially in the area of mobility of academic staff and students.

Bajraktari spoke about UASF activity as the youngest Public University in Kosovo and the only of applied sciences, and therefore stressed that a collaboration with “James Madison” University is very important for the development of the university.

“American Experience is welcome to our University and is of particular significance, because it will greatly contribute to the development of UASF. Cooperation with your University is also a great help for young Kosovars to study applied sciences, so that the labor market will be open not only to European countries but also in the US, “he said.

Rector Bajraktari invited the President of the “James Madison” University to visit the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj in June this year, where they will take concrete steps of cooperation between the two universities.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with the Vice-rector of this University, Mr. Jerry Benson, more specifically discussed ways of cooperation and further development procedures of this cooperation.

Also, Rector Bajraktari met with the Deans of “Collage of Business” Mr. Mary A. Gowman, Robert A. Kolvoord – Collage of Integrated Science and Engineering and the director Michael O’Fallon – Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreaction Managment.  They talked about ways to increase the quality and cooperation with enterprises, as well as their role in preparing students regarding the practical part.
