Rector Bajraktari hosted representatives of “Heras” project

The Rector of University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari today hosted representatives of “Heras” Project, Mr. Agim Emurli, Mrs. Arbreresha Meha and Mrs. Donjeta Ibra.

The Rector briefed about development and achievements of UASF, faculties and programs, which operate in this University, the large number of application for enrollment in these programs, large number of agreements, the mutual benefit of students and business that have agreements. Also, the Rector Bajraktari spoke to exchange experiences with international universities, which are prestigious and a good opportunity for the development of UASF as a new university.

Rector also stressed the fact that the Industrial Universty Board is already functional, with members representing businesses, who have participated in the review of Hospitality and Tourism curriculum.

Meanwhile, rector Bajraktari spoke about the challenges and the great efforts about the development of University, which is specific in Kosovo with programs it offers.

Representatives of “Heras” project, were pleased from this meeting and visit made to the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj. They said that they would help the University to develop new programs.

Mr. Aqim Emurli, said he believes that soon will start with concrete programs, plans, workshops, etc. He also said he would help to improve UASF programs. “We as a project estimate if the results are achieved, help in expertise, study visits,” he said, and stressed that “Heras” project would be developed on three levels: policy makers, university and individual level, or group.

The “Heras” project aim is to contribute to the functioning of Higher Education and Research in Kosovo in line with principles of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Area of Research (ERA) with the objective of long-term to support the development socio-economic development.

The “Heras” project, is funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation co-financed from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosovo.
