The Rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF), Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari hosted in a meeting the representatives of USAID for Kosovo, Mrs. Flora Arifi and Mrs. Antigona Mustafa, where they discussed about the preparation of the workforce.
Rector Bajraktari briefed on UASF developments, the programs that operate within the University, the number of students and the many applications for registration, local and international agreements and mutual benefit.
The Rector also spoke about the great support from businesses and their support in developing curricula, as well as student practices that are being shown to be successful in companies and are bringing good results to their employment.
“Our University is in great need of business support, because they know best what is required in the market. At their request we have also changed the programs only to suit the needs and profiles required by companies. The region of Ferizaj is the richest region in the industry, as there is a large number of factories, there is also a need for manpower for production and sale”. Said Rector Bajraktari.
USAID representatives shared their satisfaction with this meeting congratulating the rector for cooperation with private businesses and stressed that they will look for the best ways to help the University in this direction.
