Today, on May 27, the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF), opened the eighth exhibition “Future Professionals”, which is organized annually in UAFS, and students exhibit their talent through various works.

The Rector of UASF, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari, officially opened the exhibition, thanking all the UASF associates, especially the businesses, which he said thanks to their cooperation with them has achieved the success it has today. He also expressed gratitude to the professors and students for their dedication to promoting the values ​​of the university. According to him, this effort has made UASF a model of applied sciences in Kosovo and the region. The Rector also claimed that he feels proud that among the six public universities of Kosovo, the UASF is ranked second after the University of Prishtina with five-year accreditation. We cannot leave aside those who contributed and their lives for freedom, because thanks to them today we have the opportunity to develop alongside other states, he added.

 

Member of the State Council of Quality, Mr. Gëzim Tosuni, said that the purpose of this institution is to raise the quality of higher education. He added that in UASF compared to other universities, quality assurance with the development of academic and professional skills is less challenging because they apply their skills into practice by producing concrete products, while in other universities the quality of skills is seen after students become part of the labor market. He also said he feels happy that he is in this event today and according to him UASF, unlike other universities, has done extremely good work in raising the quality of the university.

The Chairman of the UASF Industrial Board, Mr. Enver Haziri, talked about the continued success that the university had since he was a student in this institution until now. He also expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation the university has with businesses.

Representative of the Wood Processing Association, Ms. Arjeta Vula Pozhegu, thanked the Rector Bajraktari and the academic staff of the UASF who were among the founders of this association, which has already contributed to the development of this institution, strengthening the cooperation network between wood processing businesses in Kosovo. The association organizes a competition every year where students from all universities in Kosovo participate in their projects. Mrs. Vula stressed that every year UASF’s students gain one of the first three places and that this year the innovation and creativity of UASF students was awarded the first prize.

 

Ngadhnjim Ismani, the winner of first place in the latest organization of the design student competition, mentored by Professor Faton Spahiu, thanked the company in which the design and production of “DAQA” product, as well as the University which through the industry has enabled the project to be implemented.

The success of the students was also proven by student Lorita Rama, who talked about the successes of her business thanks to the skills gained by UASF.

Whereas, the Speaker of the Student Parliament said that for us students it has been an honor and pleasure to welcome you this year to the premises of our university to see our work done throughout the academic year. She said that thanks to the support of Rector Bajraktari and the tireless commitment of all professors and students, today we managed to accomplish this exhibition.
