With the initiative of the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Science and Student Affairs, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Rrahim Sejdiu and the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Environment, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Petrit Hasanaj, as well as the Ferizaj Rotary Club, a lecture was contacted to the students of the Faculty of Tourism and Environment by Chef Alfred Marku, owner of Hotel Rapsodia in Shëngjin, who was also the creator of the big cake on the 100th anniversary of Albania’s Independence.
During this lecture, the students had the opportunity to listen closely to the many years of experience in the hotel sector and the success story to reach what it is today.
During the lecture, they were informed how they should love their profession and work at every moment to reach their big dream.
He also put special emphasis on traditional foods, for which he said that autochthonous dishes are those that have been served by our mothers at different times, singling out the doughs with which our traditions are very rich.
Finally, Chef Marku, in addition to donating three copies of his book “Rhapsody on a Plate” to the library of the University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Tourism and Environment, agreed to continue cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj in the field of tourism and gastronomy.
