Salihaj is a teacher at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, where he has worked since 2023.

He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in the Department of Technology, Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy, at the University of Prishtina (Mitrovica Branch) in Kosovo, and his Master’s Degree in the Faculty of Geosciences and Technology at the same university. He completed his Doctorate at the Agricultural University of Tirana, in Albania, in Environmental Science.

He was a lecturer at the International Business College in Mitrovica, Kosovo for 4 years and at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Prishtina, Kosovo for 3 years.

He has over 20 years of experience with the US-based company Kellogg Brown & Root, which supports the NATO-led KFOR mission in Kosovo, where he contributed in the fields of the environment, management, treatment and recycling of waste water and other organic waste. He has received training in France and Germany.

He is an expert in the field of the environment, licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Kosovo.

He has a significant number of scientific works published in international journals, and has been a participant in national and international conferences.

Salihaj speaks English as well as his native Albanian.
