Artistic Residency in Poland: Artistic Transformation of Academic Spaces

The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF), Lebibe Topalli Shabani, implemented an inter-institutional cooperation project with the Academy of Technology and Applied Arts in Warsaw (ATA).

As part of this artistic residency, a public lecture was held for the students and staff of this institution, as well as an artistic workshop with students interested in the field of art.

As a result of this project, two murals were created: a collaborative mural, developed with the participation of students from both institutions, where UASF students Elba Gashi and Ensara Bajraktari participated as part of the joint creative process, as well as an authorial mural created by the artist and dean Lebibe Topalli.

Our students, Elba and Ensara, contributed greatly to this project, representing the faculty worthily and sharing their experiences and engagement in various projects at UASF.

The murals were welcomed by the staff and students of ATA, as well as by the rector of this institution, Prof. Dr. Piotr Wilczek.

During the implementation of the project, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Poland, Mr. Drilon Gashi, also visited, who expressed his gratitude for this initiative and his willingness to support similar projects in the future.

This project was supported by Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans and was implemented in cooperation between UASF and ATA.
