UASF organized a commemorative event in honor of the Epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army

The University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF) organized a commemorative event in honor of the Epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army, remembering the heroic sacrifice of the legendary commander Adem Jashari, the Jashari family and all the martyrs of freedom.

The academic and administrative staff of the university participated in this event, who through a moment of reflection and remembrance, honored one of the most important events in the history of Kosovo, the heroic resistance of March 1998 in Prekaz.

The Rector of UASF, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari, in his speech emphasized the historical importance of the Epic of the KLA and the sacrifice of the Jashari family for the freedom of Kosovo.

He emphasized that the events of March 1998 were not just a battle, but an extraordinary testimony of love for the homeland and determination for freedom. According to him, the resistance of Commander Adem Jashari and his family became an eternal symbol of resistance and mobilized thousands of young people who joined the Kosovo Liberation Army on the path to the liberation of the country.

Rector Bajraktari also emphasized that educational institutions have an important role in preserving historical memory and in cultivating the values ​​of freedom and civic responsibility in the younger generations.

“The university, as a temple of knowledge and education of the younger generations, has a special mission to preserve historical memory and cultivate the values ​​of freedom, dignity and civic responsibility,” he emphasized.

During the event, professors Hysen Sogojeva and Agim Thaqi also spoke, sharing reflections and memories of the war period, speaking with pride and pain about the sacrifices of the people of Kosovo on the path to freedom. In their remarks, they congratulated and thanked Rector Bajraktari for organizing this commemorative activity and for the institutional care that the university is showing in preserving and honoring important events in our national history.

On this commemorative day, deep respect and gratitude were expressed for Commander Adem Jashari, the Jashari family and all the martyrs of freedom, whose sacrifice remains the foundation of the state and freedom of Kosovo.

Also, during the activity, solidarity and support were expressed for the comrades and leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army who are facing justice in The Hague, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, emphasizing faith in the justice and truth of the Kosovo liberation war.

At the end of his speech, Rector Bajraktari congratulated two important dates that are marked at the beginning of March: March 7 – Teacher’s Day and March 8 – International Women’s Day, appreciating the role and contribution of teachers and women in the development of society.
