General Conditions

 

The general conditions for the selection of regular academic staff are set out in the provisions of the Statute of UASF and the Regulation on selection procedures regarding the appointment of academic staff at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, No. prot.: 2521/21, date: 10.09.2021.

 

Required documents for application:

 

Candidates who apply for the competition must submit the following documents:

 

  1. Application form and CV;

 

  1. Original birth certificate, not older than 6 (six) months;

 

  1. For the teaching position, the original diploma/certificate of the diploma (bachelor, master/magistrate, doctorate) or their notarized copies are required;

 

  1. For the Lecturer position, the diploma/certificate of the diploma and original grade certificates (bachelor, master/magistrate) or their notarized copies are required;

 

A candidate who is appointed as a Lecturer for the first time must have an average grade of no less than 7 (seven) in bachelor’s studies and an average grade of no less than 8 (eight) in master’s studies, or an average grade of no less than 7.5 in 5 (five) year system studies;

 

  1. The decision for the nostrification (equivalence) of the diploma/certificate of the relevant diploma (bachelor’s, master’s/magister’s degree) by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Kosovo, for all candidates who have completed their studies abroad. Proof of application for nostrification will not be taken into consideration;
  2. Evidence of scientific and professional publications within the framework determined by the Statute of UASF and the relevant Regulations.
  • For the teaching position, it is required: at least one scientific paper published in international scientific or artistic journals, as first author and indexed in one of the five platforms identified with AI 01/18 of MEST, with Impact Factor IF>0.1 at the time of publication of the paper, from the relevant field of study;
  • For the Lecturer position, it is required: at least one scientific paper published in international scientific or artistic journals, as first author and indexed in one of the five platforms identified with AI 01/18 of MEST, with Impact Factor IF>0.1 at the time of publication of the paper, from the relevant field of study;

 

  1. Evidence of participation and presentations in scientific and professional conferences within the framework determined by the Statute of the UASF and the relevant Regulations.

 

  1. For the teaching position, it is required: at least one scientific paper published in international scientific or artistic journals, as the first author and indexed in one of the five platforms identified by AI 01/18 of MEST, with Impact Factor IF>0.1 at the time of publication of the paper, from the relevant field of study;
  2. For the position of Lecturer, it is required: at least one scientific paper published in international scientific or artistic journals, as first author and indexed in one of the five platforms identified by AI 01/18 of MEST, with Impact Factor IF>0.1 at the time of publication of the paper, from the relevant field of study;

 

  1. Other additional information, which is important for candidates applying.
  • For Teachers: To demonstrate teaching skills and to prove work, knowledge and mastery in the subject of the relevant field;
  • For Lecturers: To demonstrate teaching skills and to prove skills in working with scientific/professional projects.

 

Duration of appointment and limitations for appointment

 

  1. All appointments for titles, as well as the duration of employment are made in accordance with the relevant provisions of the UASF Statute and applicable laws.

Decision, appeal period and closure of the competition

 

  1. Candidates who are dissatisfied with the decisions of the competent bodies of UASF (Teaching/Scientific Council or Senate), during the selection of academic staff, have the right to appeal in two stages:
  2. The first stage of appeal is no later than 15 days from the date of publication of the Bulletin. The bulletin will remain published for 15 days in Office No. 008 of the UASF and on the UASF website. The appeal is addressed to the Appeals Committee of the Academic/Scientific Council at the UASF. It will be reviewed by the Academic/Scientific Council, no later than 10 days from the closing date of the appeal.
  3. The second stage of the appeal is made against the Senate decision, no later than fifteen (15) days after receipt of the decision. The appeal is addressed to the Senate Appeals and Complaints Committee, which serves as the first and last instance of appeal at the UASF. The Appeals and Complaints Committee presents its report on the appeals to the Senate for a final decision at the UASF level. The proposal of the Senate Appeals and Complaints Committee is not binding on the Senate.
  4. The complaining party is notified in writing of the final decision of the Senate.
  5. The competition for appointment of regular academic staff must be concluded with relevant decisions of the Senate of the University of Albania for all announced positions, in a period not longer than 175 days from the date of announcement.
  6. For special cases, before the proposal reaches the Senate, at the request of the Rector, the deadline for the entire procedure may be extended by a maximum of 30 days.
  7. If the competition is not fully or partially completed within the deadline specified in paragraph 3, then the relevant uncompleted positions may be re-announced in the next competition at the request of the Faculty.

 

Application method

 

  1. Applicants must submit the necessary documents in printed and electronic form.
  2. The documentation in physical form (printed), for the job position for which the candidate applies, in addition to the original or notarized one, must also be submitted in an additional simple physical copy.
  3. Printed documentation must be submitted to the UASF administration at the office of the academic affairs division, while the electronic version is at the official UASF address ([email protected]).
  4. Scientific papers published in international journals must be scanned in their entirety, while for published books, the first page of the book and the page where the publication cataloging is visible must be scanned.
  5. Applications received after the deadline and incomplete ones, as well as those that are not deposited scanned via e-mail to the above-mentioned address, will not be considered.
  6. The announcement of the opening of the Competition is made through the SIMBNJ platform and the UASF website is open from 25.02.2026.
  7. The deadline for application and submission of documentation according to the competition is open 30 (thirty) calendar days and starts from 26.02.2026 to 27.03.2026, 16:00.
