This important event was attended by students, academic and administrative staff, representatives of local and central institutions and numerous guests. The festive atmosphere was accompanied by emotions and expectations for a new year full of knowledge, new opportunities and challenges.

The Rector of UASF, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari, expressed gratitude and special emotion on this solemn day, describing the University as one respected throughout Kosovo, thanks to accredited programs, research projects and international collaborations. In his speech, he respectfully bowed to the past:
“Eternal glory to the martyrs of the nation! Special honor to all the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who brought us freedom through their blood and sacrifice. Today, with deep respect, we also remember and acknowledge President Hashim Thaçi, Mr. Kadri Veseli, and all the leaders of that time, who led the difficult processes toward freedom, independence, and state-building.”

He welcomed the new students to this “temple of knowledge”, encouraging them to work with dedication, develop their professional and human skills, and take advantage of every opportunity the University offers. “You young students, you are the reason why this moment is so special. Here you will grow, challenge yourself, and prepare for your future,” emphasized the Rector.

The Mayor of Ferizaj, Mr. Agim Aliu, in his speech, praised the role that the University has for the city and the youth: “UASF is one of the main pillars of the development of Ferizaj. You students, with your knowledge and dedication, will become the generation that will lead the change and progress of this country. The Municipality of Ferizaj will always stand by this institution and our youth, because only through strong education do we build a better future.”

He also emphasized once again his personal and the Municipality’s commitment to the location dedicated to the University, describing it as a strategic investment for the academic and developmental future of the city. UASF is an important center of knowledge and innovation. She also addressed the students, advising them to face the challenge with courage and move forward towards the future with determination.

“The ceremony concluded with a special moment, during which Rector Bajraktari, on behalf of the University and by decision of the UASF Senate, presented the Mayor of Ferizaj, Mr. Aliu, with the title of ‘Honorary Member’ of UASF. This recognition was a gesture of gratitude for his continued support and contribution to the development of higher education and the strengthening of ties between the University and the local community.”
