Within the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (USAF), the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Wood Technology, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina and the University of Mitrovica, organized a Scientific Roundtable on the topic: prices, as a result of inflation or disconnection of the supply chain”.
The participants were greeted by the Rector of UShAF, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari who congratulated them on the topic as very current and relevant, encouraging such cooperation to continue in the future in the establishment and advancement of universities and the development of our country.
Vice-Rector of UMIB, Prof. As. Dr. Ajtene Avdullahu, thanked for the initiative stated that such roundtables should not be the last, but to be a good start for local and international cooperation.
Deans, Prof. As. Dr. Sokol Krasniqi, Prof. Bujar Jashari, and representatives of the Faculties of Economics, Prof. As. Qazim Tmava and Prof. As. Dr. Alban Elshani, informed the participants of the purpose of the conference, as appropriate for the time with the challenges that our country and the economy, in general, are facing.
During the discussions Prof. As. Dr. Bashkim Mustafa and Prof. As. Dr. Neshat Podvorica, stated the latest data, show a high inflation rate of 11.2% in Kosovo. This situation should be worrying for decision-making institutions, policy-making in general, and University and Academic institutions in particular.
Representatives of central and local institutions and the business community discussed the challenges of businesses in this time of crisis and opportunities to overcome these challenges.
Professors from the three Public Universities attended the discussions, and representatives of central and local institutions and the business community praised the institutions on this topic and the opportunities to overcome as easily and without consequences for the economy and businesses.
